Bavar
Bavar is a puzzle-platformer in which you play a creature with the ability to throw oil.Advance through the dungeon, collect all the coins and reach the end of the adventure!
CREDITS
My name is Pau Ruano and this is the game I made for the GameJam "One Game a Month #33", my first solo Jam. The theme of the jam was "Oil and Water" and although it was optional I decided to follow it, resulting in this game.
I have a designer-programmer profile, so I had to take all the artwork from free Itchio bundles (you'll find the links below).
As a little post-mortem of the project I have to say that I really enjoyed developing it, I hope you enjoy playing it now! Any feedback you want to leave in the comments is more than welcome!

This is the first time I’ve seen somebody use one of my assets in a game! So cool! Game looks really neat from the gifs. I’m on mobile right now so I can’t play but gonna check it out tonight. Thanks for using my tile set and thanks for the credit!
Fun game! Also have a trackpad and found the ctrl option in the comments. Noticed on reset to checkpoint you loose the oil collected previously. might be a nice to have it reset too, but then you'd need to do level cleanup and maybe it would be to easy? Just sharing my thoughts :)

During development I did consider that option, in fact it is planned, but then the game became too frustrating in some rooms. Also, for the "secret" coin area it gave some problems.

I liked it a lot. :)
But it can be improved, the shoot button gets "stuck" sometimes, I think
Besides that, it's amazing, enjoying, beautiful and cute. ;)
Also, the soundtrack matched perfectly!

You are absolutely right, sometimes when shooting (especially downwards or horizontally) the system works incorrectly. I plan to fix it soon to make the game as good as possible.

the shoot button doesnt seem to work on a laptop trackpad , a key would be better !
was enjoying it until i couldnt shoot :)
Thank you very much for your comment! I imagined that something like that could happen, so I added that it could be triggered with Left Ctrl. Try to see if you can play it that way and if not, let me know and I'll change it!
